Funding

At Franchesca Care, we know the funding issues that can arise when considering social care support. Your local authority should be your first information source and can signpost you to various organisations that can assist you, your family, or a representative acting on your behalf. All social care support is subject to a means test, and the criteria are set annually by Parliament, and your local authority completes an assessment of need.

Private Funding

What Are Our Hourly Care Fees?

Our hourly visiting care service is arranged around your requirements. Everybody is different, and that’s why we take the time to understand your unique requirements. With a choice of 30, 45, or 60-minute calls (and multiple hours if needed) as well as sleep-in support, we have the experience and flexibility to meet your needs. Because our service is so flexible, we can change it as your needs change.

Contact our team today, and they will be happy to discuss the costs. Costs differ depending on whether care is needed during the week, on weekends, or on bank holidays, and we will inform you of this on the phone or via email—there are no hidden costs. Our hourly care customer service advisor will tell you everything you need to know to ensure you get the right amount of care.

Our live-in Care costs are charged weekly, and other services are charged at an hourly rate. Instead of a flat rate across the board, you will only pay for the level of care that you need. Our fees are always agreed upon with you before we start providing you with the service you will need. Please call our office to request our prices.

Direct Payments

Local Authorities are offering their Service Users a Direct Payment, Personal or Individual Budget which can give you much more say in spending your care funds. We can support individuals on Direct Payments; if you would like more advice on how to obtain direct payments, you can contact the direct payments department at your local Social Services, or if you have an existing social worker, they will be able to give you more information.

Services are tailored to each individual’s needs and wishes and can be provided from a quarter-hour visit to 24-hour support. For further details about the services available, please contact the branch by calling us or by email. All contact details are available on our contact page.

Local Authority Funding

You may be entitled to social care funding support, subject to your financial circumstances. For more details, contact your local social services, who can advise you further.

If your local council has already assessed you as needing social services support, you are likely to be allocated a Personal Budget. This can be paid in the form of Direct Payments, Individual Service Funds (ISFs), or Individual Budgets.

You may come across many other phrases for these, but fundamentally, they all mean the same essential thing: you have more choice and control over the care and support you receive.

The Local Authority often does not provide funding to cover everything you wish to include in your care plan, and it only covers essentials. You can upgrade your care plan and pay for some extras yourself. It is possible to do this, and many of our customers do.
